#Inspirational #Quotes

How about some of my favorite quotes today? These are some that I try to repeat often to my kids.

The first is from the Notebook ~ one of my favorite romance stories of all time...a love like theirs would be a wonderful gift.

“The reason it hurts so much to separate is because our souls are connected. Maybe they always have been and will be. Maybe we've lived a thousand lives before this one and in each of them we've found each other. And maybe each time, we've been forced apart for the same reasons. That means that this goodbye is both a goodbye for the past ten thousand years and a prelude to what will come.”
― Nicholas Sparks, The Notebook

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.
- The Buddha

Mistakes are, after all, the foundations of truth, and if a man does not know what a thing is, it is at least an increase in knowledge if he knows what it is not.
- Carl Jung

The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.
- Mother Teresa

I've never felt Marilyn Monroe should be a "role model" of sorts. I'm against role models period, but I do like this.
“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” - Marilyn Monroe

Never, not ever, give up
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” - Thomas A. Edison

“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” - George Eliot

Kindness will always speak louder than hate.
”An eye for eye only ends up making the whole world blind.” - M.K. Gandhi

”Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon ‘em.” - William Shakespeare

“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
― Paulo Coelho

“Pain is temporary. Quitting lasts forever.”
― Lance Armstrong
